We monitor, facilitate and accelerate the implementation of sustainability education in Dutch secondary schools. And we bring sustainability education to the forefront of Dutch politics.
Through round-table events, in collaboration with Stichting NatuurCollege, we enable a think-tank of experts and stakeholders. The aim is to identify barriers and solutions of integrating sustainability education in Dutch secondary schools. After each round table event, feasible solutions are reported to the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and shared with our broad network.
We aim to create a ‘ripple effect’, in which existing stakeholders are given a growing sense of responsibility and become co-creators of a sustainable Dutch society, and use their networks for this purpose.
The Time is Now Foundation gives feedback on the curriculum review by Curriculum.nu, initiated by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, to make sure sustainability education will be part of the Dutch education system. Read the report (in Dutch) of our first feedback-loop session on the concept visions of the curriculum review.
With the strength of our network we build a lobby for sustainability education within all layers of our society- We think in terms of bottom up and top down. We bring people together, create unusual connections, inspire and mobilize. In this way we create a strong support and alliance among stakeholders and within society for the urgency of sustainability education.
